Scholarship Overview
Each year, the School of Culture, History and Language (CHL), in the ANU College of Asia and the Pacific (CAP), may offer an award known as the Stephen and Helen Wurm PhD Scholarship in Asia-Pacific Linguistics. Each year, the School of Culture, History and Language (CHL), in the ANU College of Asia and the Pacific (CAP), may offer an award known as the Stephen and Helen Wurm PhD Scholarship in Asia-Pacific Linguistics. Eligibility for the Stephen & Helen Wurm PhD Scholarship in Asia-Pacific Linguistics: The award is available to a prospective or continuing domestic or international student. Applicants must be enrolled or enrolling full-time in a Doctor of Philosophy program in the School of Culture, History & Language, ANU College of Asia and the Pacific, and studying a lesser-described Asia Pacific language(s); and have H1 or demonstrated H1 equivalence. Value of the Scholarship: $39,069 per annum Overseas Student Health Care Cover Higher Degree Research (HDR) Fee Remission Merit Scholarship Stipend Scholarship. Application: No application for the Wurm PhD Scholarship is required, as eligible students who have indicated their interest will be automatically considered. Deadline: For domestic students, it is from 01-Nov to 31-Oct. For international students, it is from 01-Sep to 31-Aug.

- Statement of Purpose (SOP) or Research Proposal aligned with chosen course.
- Academic and/or Professional Letters of Recommendation (LORs).
- Proof of English proficiency (IELTS / TOEFL / PTE) if mandated by provider.
